China Articles - May 9, 2021
Friends,
As you may have noticed, I shifted to a new platform. My old method of sending it via my Gmail account hit the limits of what Google could support, so I’ve started using Substack, a dedicated newsletter platform. For those of you receiving the newsletter, nothing changes. If you want to recommend adding anyone, just let me know. And as always, if you wish to be removed, let me know that as well.
For those of you who are interested, I recommend watching two upcoming virtual events:
The first is a Hoover Institution event titled, More Than Sharp Power: How the CCP Penetrates Taiwan and Hong Kong and will stream on Tuesday, May 11 at 4pm Pacific Time.
The second one is in a month by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation titled, Innovation Drag: The Impact of Chinese Economic and Trade Policies on Global Innovation and will stream on June 10, 2021, 10am to 1pm Eastern Time.
Thanks for reading!
Matt
